Doodles and drawings. What does it say about the writer/artist, what they think about their life can be detected in the artwork created from the subconscious. Even artwork as precise as tattoos and graffiti tells volumes about the person who created it.
Trees, houses, hearts, flowers and snakes can all tell a great deal about the writer/artist. This can be especially useful for young writers or writers with language barriers.
